Flagstaff, Arizona is located in the beautiful mountain area at the intersection of I-17 and I-40, and is the largest city in Northern Arizona & is the county seat for Coconino County, the second largest county in the 48 states mainland (by area).

Based at the base of the San Francisco Peaks, The City of Flagstaff, it is surrounded by one of the largest pine forests on Earth.  Flagstaff is approximately 7000 feet above sea level & is also one of the highest elevation cities in the United States - imagine that for a desert state!

Flagstaff was named after a very tall flagpole made from a pine tree to celebrate our nation's centennial in 1876.
